Welcome to Our Spring 2026 Lab Members

The Machine Perception and Cognitive Robotics Laboratory is pleased to welcome new members joining us for Spring 2026. The lab continues to grow, and we are glad to have new researchers contributing to our work in complex systems and natural computing.

New members this semester come from a range of backgrounds and bring expertise spanning computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, and engineering. This diversity is one of the lab’s greatest strengths – our projects benefit from the intersection of different perspectives and skill sets.

To help new members get started, we have introduced a streamlined onboarding process. The system guides incoming researchers through a structured checklist that covers lab tools, project assignment, and communication channels. The goal is to reduce the time between joining and making meaningful contributions.

Whether your interests lie in large language models, swarm intelligence, quantum computing, evolutionary dynamics, or programming language theory, there is a project that fits. With 20 active research threads, new members have the opportunity to find work that aligns with their skills and curiosity.

We encourage all new members to explore the projects page and connect with project leads. Welcome to The Sandbox – we look forward to what you will build here.
