Lab Infrastructure Update: New Tools for MPCR
Over the past several weeks, the MPCR Lab has rolled out a series of infrastructure improvements designed to make project management, member coordination, and public communication more efficient.
At the center of these changes is a new internal CRM system built for the lab’s specific needs. The CRM handles project tracking, member profiles, poster submissions, and documentation – all in one place. Lab directors and project leads can manage their teams, update project details, and monitor progress without juggling spreadsheets or scattered documents.
A key feature is automated website synchronization. When project information or member profiles are updated in the CRM, those changes propagate to the public website at mpcrlab.com automatically. This eliminates the manual overhead of keeping two systems in sync and ensures that the website always reflects the current state of the lab.
We have also improved member profiles on the website, giving each researcher a dedicated page with their bio, project affiliations, and links to their work. For prospective members, a new join form on the website provides a straightforward path to express interest in the lab. Applications are reviewed by the directors and, once accepted, new members are onboarded through a guided process.
These tools are designed to stay out of the way and let researchers focus on what matters: the science. Questions or feedback can be directed to the lab directors.
